From Midwinter’s Gift to Abbey Road: Our Conversation on “Crushing Classical”

Recently, we had the pleasure of joining oboist/entrepreneur Jennet Ingle on her podcast Crushing Classical to share the full story behind Double Keyed.

What began as a simple idea between two musicians eventually grew into our debut album Midwinter’s Gift - and from there, into something far bigger than we initially imagined: recording with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studio One.

In this conversation, we talk about formation, risk, growth, and how one artistic step can quietly lead to another. It’s an honest look at the evolution of our project - and the amazing community that has carried it forward.

As we shared in the episode, we are now in the final stretch of funding this album. Our crowdfunder is live, and we are closing in on our goal.
